摘要

A finite volume based method with varying grid size has been developed to solve thern1-D advective-diffusion equation and has been applied to predict suspendedrnsediment concentration distributions in open channel flows. In the model thernconcentration of suspended sediments at each face of any control volume isrnrepresented in the advective terms by means of a refined version of the highlyrnaccurate ULTIMATE QUICKEST scheme. The model has been applied to twornlaboratory studies and comparisons between numerical model predictions andrnmeasured data are presented herein.
