International Space Station Servicing Scenarios using a 2nd Generation Reusable Launch Vehicle

1. Second generation RLV designers must become familiar with ISS Program and mission requirements, which could have major impact on RLV system design, development and operations costs; 2. RLV designer will need to develop bilateral agreements and documentation with ISS Program; 3. VVIDD and Human-Rating Requirements need to be satisfied or negotiated; 4. Potential second generation RLV launch service providers should carefully consider what solution is optimum for delivery of pressurized and unpressurized logistics and crew based on their design and operations concept Servicing option selection will be influenced by negotiation of proposed ISS services provided; (1) Pressurized logistics up-mass/down-mass; (2) Unpressurized logistics up-mass/down-mass; (3) Crew rotation.
