Soil resistivity mapping of non-homogeneous soils

In practice, lateral changes in soil resistivityrnmay occur and both horizontal and vertical soundingsrnare required. In the present study, a two-dimensionalrnimaging method is applied to measure soil resistivityrnat a number of locations near a high-voltage tower.rnThe measured data is interpreted using twodimensionalrnnumerical inversion techniques. Thernresulting model gives information on the subsurfacernsoil structure in both the vertical and the horizontalrndirections. Data for a survey using vertical sounding isrnalso presented.
