The research has shown that vocational training for women can be improved through a combination of conventional teaching, learning project-work as part of the daily work and the use of computer-based-training. The role of the facilitator is very important in the learning process. The need analysis of the companies gave us the reason to develop a computer-based training program on the topic "work preparation" which is directed particularly towards women in manufacturing companies. The first test results are satisfactorily and indicate a high interest of women in the learning process using computer based training, which can support their project work related to the change process in the company. Experience shows that women in general are particularly interested in the applications of technology and less concerned about technical details of how and why things work; furthermore they don't seem to care about fancy technical programs. The most important is that the access is easy, the text has to be understandable and they like to discuss their findings with colleagues.
