The Investigation of the Elders' Outdoor Environment Behavior of Community—Take 'Dayou Tianyuan' Community in Dalian as an Example

Nowadays, China has already become the high aging country, and one of the goals of solving the aged problem is the house and living environment problem. Outdoor activities in residential community as an indispensable part of old people's lives have become an important subject that the designers have probed into and studied. The text will base on the actual research of the elders' outdoor activities of Dayou Tianyuan community in Dalian. Through the means of questionnaire, interview on the spot, and investigation without participating, on the basis of synthesizing the elders' physiological characteristics, psychological factors and proving to results with quantitative analysis, this paper studies the characteristics of the elders' outdoor activities, appraises and analyzes environmental elements, offers suggestions to the environmental design of the outdoor activity space of the elder in residential communities.
