It was carried otu hte systematic investigations of tendency to the austenite grain growth in different alloyed structural steels with more than 100 compositions. All steels had the same conditions of melting, casting, forging and heat treatment. The temperature range was from 800 deg C to 1400 deg C. All data were treated with statistical method of multiple regresion analyses. Estimate of the grain growth allowed creating the empirical interpolation model that has a basic as the Taylor's series. This model describes adequately the austenite grain size of steels with the most different compositions, allows to obtain the quantitative data of grain sizes in connection with the chemical composition of steel, and to estimate influence of different elements and their compositions on the grain growth and the grain size.
