The properties of materials based on ground tire rubber (GTR) and GTR blends with virgin rubbers of different nature rubber were studied. The effect of GTR particle size and nature of vulcanizing agents on the mechanical properties of materials was analyzed. It was shown that rubber crumb without virgin rubber can be converted to materials with useful mechanical properties The mechanical properties of the materials depend on the amount and particle size of crumb rubber and are determined by the type of interaction between the components. The influence of nature of virgin rubbers on the mechanical properties of materials was discussed.
