摘要

The traditional approach to simulation of urbanization caused hydrologic effects is to compile manually, on a case-by-case basis, all the essential geographic and drainage system information of a watershed into a form required by a hydrologic model. With the availability of geographic information systems (GIS) it is now possible to store all the essential information in a database for use by a hydrologic model at any time. Once a model is coupled to the database, the hydrological effects of any proposed or planned urban development can be simulated easily. This paper describes simulation of the hydrologic impacts of urbanization using a coupled Hydrologic-GIS model. The coupling allows the automatic generation of the input file of the simulation model. Based on proper calibration in a small tropic watershed, this coupled model is applied to simulate the hydrologic effects under various degrees of urban development
