This paper presents the contribution of hydrologists and hydraulic experts to the ecohydrological evaluation of several flood plains located in German river basins such as the Weser basin. Main objective was the application of a two-dimensional hydrodynamic model for surface flow, the combination of hydraulic results and hydrological time series, and the creation of abiotic project indicators (performance indices) to be used by ecologists and landscape planners
