Geotechnical problems on historical buildings from Transylvania

The paper will present the analysis of the degradations that occurred on an importantrnhistorical load-bearing structures from Transylvania, together with the causes of their appearance onrnconstruction and with the proposed solutions. There will be presented also the requested investigationsrnfor the soil, the analysis of the causes which leaded to the appearance of the degradation. The proposedrnsolution for the rehabilitation is analyzed, based on methods for strengthening the foundations and solutionsrnto improve the soil and the foundation’s body.
