Sight-seeing Tunnel Project at the Bund, Shanghai

STEC (Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Construction Company) was committed under a contract to construct a sight-seeing tunnel at the Bund, Shanghai, which is the first cross-river tunnel dedicated to pedestrian traffic in China,. Acting as a link between the Bund at Nanjing Road (east) and the Oriental Pearl TV tower at Lujiazhui, it is measured as 646m long, 6.76m in inner diameter, with dual track for sight-seeing coach service which is in line with the years nineties on international level, performing a driver less traction with fully automatic control on a train of enclosed coaches.
