Compensation grouting to control tilt of Big Ben Clock Tower

Big Ben Clock Tower is the most famous of many historic and important strucutres affected by ground movements associated with construction of the Jubilee Line Extension Project in ondon. The construction works for the new Westminster Station are outlined. Compensation grouting undertaken to control the tilt of the Tower is described, drawing particular attention to the instrumentation used to monitor tilt and the precision to which the tilt could be controlled.
