The present paper considers the field tests of conical foundations in the anthropogenic soilsrnof Karaganda coal basin. The data of full-scale plate tests (simulating pier foundation operation) and conicalrnfoundations showed that in the elastic work stage of soil base the load-settlement dependence is the same forrnboth types of foundations (as their initial areas exposed to loading are equivalent and equal). As long as thernhorizontal tensile strains of the anthropogenic soils are arising, these properties are repeated, that almost entirelyrnis confirmed by carried out researches.
