摘要

This paper proposed a concept of the high frequency magnetotelluric method (HFMT) based on the research of characters of nature magneto-telluric field and the extending upper limit frequency of observation to 100KHz by a great deal of exploration practice under complex terrain with deep-buried tunnels. The vector survey and continue acquisition of data were applied in the exploration of the tunnels with complex karst in Yiwan railway. The prospecting results have been validated by the excavation of the tunnels. The results show that HFMT is of high quantitative interpretation accuracy and can be applied to prospecting tunnel engineering with complex terrain and karst growth.
