摘要

In this paper, an efficient chip acquisition scheme, based on energy window, is proposed for TH-UWB system operating over the dense multipath channel. The new scheme separates the acquisition procedure into two steps: chip acquisition and PN code synchronization. Once the chip acquisition achieved, the multipath components can be acquired without the knowledge of channel information. Further theoretical analysis and computer simulation show that, the acquisition time of proposed scheme can be reduced significantly, and that the BER performance loss of TH-UWB system with proposed algorithm is less than 2dB to that with perfect timing recovery.
