Service Architecture in Next-generation network

摘要

The challenges of a unified service management architecture is associated with a fundamental transformation of current networks toward a multiservice infrastructure, we outline the fundamental reasons why neither the control infrastructure of the PSTN nor that of the present-day Internet is adequate to support the myriad of new services in next-generation networks. Many operators are now migrating their PSTN from circuit switched into multipurpose packet switched networks. This new approach is often called the next-generation network (NGN). NGN enables network operators to run all services (i.e., voice, data and video) on one network. Based on the existing models, in this paper, we proposed new service provisioning method (SMS) to support any NGN services defined by some standardization organization as pell as unexpected future services.
