THE RESEARCH INTO THE DEVELOPMENT STATUS OF YUNNAN PROVINCE IN THE LARGE-SCALE DEVELOPMENT FOR WESTERN REGION

Since the implementation of Large-Scale Development for Western Region, all aspects of Yunnan province have been developing quickly. In this paper, firstly, I describe the development status of Yunnan province since the implementation of Large-Scale Development for Western Region. Then with the study method of longitudinal comparison and contrast, the annual development statuses from 1999 to 2001 have been studied. The main indexes are as follows: GDP, Rivenue, Agriculture, Industry, External Trade, the Fixed Assets Investment, Transportation, Posts and Telecommunication. Finally, the problems that appear in the course of development have been pointed and solutions have been suggested as well.
