摘要

Developed is a computerized axial flow fan design system with the capabilities for designing fan blading geometry and for predicting fan performance and noise. In the present computer program, fan blading design is made by combining vortex distribution scheme with camber line design, airfoil selection database, blade thickness distribution and stacking of blade elements. With the designed fan blade geometry, the spanwise flow field and the performances of fan are predicted by the trough-flow analysis which uses streamline curvature computing scheme with pressure loss and flow deviation models. Fan noise is evaluated by combining the flow and the performance prediction results with broadband noise model. The present fan design system is applied to actual fan development practices, and its predictions of fan performance and noise level are favorably compared with the test data of fan.
