摘要

In this experimental study, the flow around a square cylinder has been sought. The influence of different parameters (the free stream incidence angle, the Reynolds number, and the nature of the cylinder edges, sharp or rounded side corners) on the structure of the flow and on the Strouhal number evolution has been shown. The experiment has been carried out in an open wind tunnel, and the visualisations have been made with a Single-Pass Schlieren apparatus. The range of Reynolds number was from 3500 to 17500.
