An Investigation on Lateral Jet Flows and Control Efficiency for Slender Body

In this paper, lateral jet flows around slender body are numerically studied on: (ⅰ) the effect of jet pressure ratio on interference flow field and aerodynamics; (ⅱ) the effect of difference jet Mach number Mj on interference flow field and aerodynamics, on the condition that stagnation temperature and total pressure are remained unchanged; (ⅲ)the effect of angle of attach on the flow field's interference characteristics. For high resolution and vortex capture, Roe flux difference splitting (FDS) scheme is used to solve the full Navier-Stokes equations. Computed results display the characteristics of interference flowfields reasonably and some of them are agreement with published data. Conclusions are reached hereinafter.
