摘要

The present paper describes a work that has been undertaken to study the effect of wetness in Low Pressure (LP) steam turbines cascade theoretically and experimentally. Theoretical treatments are done by combining the equations describing the behavior of the droplets with the gas dynamic equation. The gas dynamic equation is solved using time marching method applied to cell-vertex type finite volume. In order to reproduce realistic high speed condensation process as in turbine, test are done in a blow down steam tunnel which is capable of producing supercool steam without giving kinetic energy. The predicted results are compared with the experiments. It is shown that the agreement is very good.
