The selection and training procedure for personnel in special forest fire fightingrnunits is determined following a protocol based on the analysis of populations and havingrnSAFETY as the final objective. This process is carried out by means of the following stepsrn(PROTOCOL):rnTo determine the characteristics required of the candidates and of the training processes byrnmeans of:rn? Analysis of the type of work and the environment where it is carried out.rn? Analysis of possible risks (accidents) and risk increasing effects.rn? Analysis of the intrinsic characteristics of populations in terms of the “AGE” andrn“AEROBIC CAPACITY” parameters.rnSpecific design of the selection process for each zone. Specific design of the training processrnand follow up controls during the campaign in terms of intensity and time.
