THE USE OF FLOW STRAIGHTENING BASKETS IN SUBMERGED PUMP REMEDIATION

摘要

This paper presents guidelines for the applicability and development of a flow-straightening basket, which can be used to alleviate hydraulic problems in existing pump stations as well as in new pump stations. In addition, limitations and applications where the use of this device is not recommended are also discussed. This paper also compares model study results to actual field performance for a variety of different basket configurations and applications.
