Non-point source pollution from agricultural area is a dominating source of water pollution. The excessive fertilizer causes eutrophication as well as groundwater pollution. In this paper, a winter wheat potted-planting experiment was carried out, and the fertilizer with ~(15)N was added as tracer to the soil. Combining experiment with Leachm model simulation, some conclusions were drawn that after the winter wheat growing period, the nitrate nitrogen in soil increased and led to the rise of probability of nitrogen losses by runoff or leaching; Excessive fertilization and irrigation both increased the nitrogen leaching, and caused more threat on groundwater quality, and the latter had more apparent effect. These results could provide useful information for ground-water protection from agricultural non-point source pollution.
