摘要

The velocity distribution and circulation flow number in a draft-tube stirred tank of 0.8m diameter were experimentally studied and numerically simulated by using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) package FLUENT6.2. The RNG κ-ε turbulent model and multiple reference frame (MRF) were used in the simulation. The circulation flow number and liquid velocity predicted by CFD were in good agreement with the experimental. The results are of importance to the optimum design of industrial stirred tank with draft tube.
