After a brief introduction about the Dark Matter issue in Astrophysics and Cosmology, different hypotheses for its nature are discussed. The searches for the so-called baryonic type Dark Matter such as MACHOs are presented as well as those from neutrino oscillation experiments which lead to the limits on Ω_ν. The Cold Dark Matter interpretation in the SUSY framework (WIMPs) is introduced and the results from the Direct and Indirect search experiments are discussed and compared. The future potential of both, complementary approaches are also examined.
