Issues in Cache Management Algorithms for Commercial Software Systems

摘要

Cache sizes in software systems have increased dramatically in the last few years making it necessary to revisit cache management policies. This paper raises some issues that might be useful in improving software cache performance and stresses the importance of operational overhead of algorithms.
