摘要

This paper analyses the feasibility of detecting tool wear by cutting temperature. We provide the mathematical model of tool wear that is defined by probability density function of dynamic cutting temperature. This paper also qualitatively discusses auto correlation function of cutting temperature and the influence of probability distribution function on tool wear.
