Practices (Past Prospects) for Tokyo's Public Transport

摘要

This paper firstly describes the strong and weak points of Tokyo's public transport systems from various perspectives together with the technical and institutional practices adopted. Secondly, the author discusses distinctive features of Tokyo's experience, what problems it faces, and what is required for the future. Finally, recommendations for other large cities are outlined.
