摘要

The present study developed a technology assessment system (TAS) of seawater desalination systems driven by renewable energy sources such as solar and eolic, in order to supply drinking water to several communities located in the arid coastal zones of the Baja California peninsula in Mexico. The study of the technologies proposed, the potential use of solar and wind energy as well as the social factors and the support or rejection of the main actors involved in the implementation of such technologies, are included in the TAS.
