Study on Informatization of Large Enterprises in China

摘要

This research is based on data collected in national investigations about Informatization of large Chinese enterprises. Analysis on those investigations outlines the status quo and challenge in the informatization progress. IT construction in large Chinese enterprises is in the transferring period from the beginning period to the improving period. Many enterprises have entered the period of high-level IT application. Strong leadership, regulation construction, system renovation and effective management enable them to success in IT construction. Business-oriented and market-oriented are the typical characteristics of the successful enterprises in IT construction. Financial management information systems and AO systems have been established in most enterprises. Safety protection of information systems in large enterprises have changed from passive defense to active defense. Some challenges facing those enterprises are also been outlined.
