Online exchanges have become ubiquitous in industries ranging from automotive to retailing. Howeverinternet fraud has also been on the rise in online exchanges, posing serious challenges to people's trust in electronic markets. So there is an indisputable value in understanding how OES(Online Escrow Services) providers behave in electronic markets, whether and when an OES will be adopted by online traders, and under what conditions an OES constitutes a viable business model as a trusted third party. This study provides a better understanding of OES markets by showing the proposed conceptual model of escrow services, how an online escrow service works and Perceived Effectiveness of Escrow Services.
