The authors propose a new comprehensive method to predict flexural behavior, in which a numerical analysis method and a tensile stress distribution model are included. A reasonable agreement is observed between the simulated results and experimental data as to extruded mortar specimens reinforced by polypropylene short fiber, though there is a few disagreement of flexural strength in some cases. Employing the proposed model, it is suggested that the various tensile stress distribution models in previous studies are special cases of the proposed model. Also the model reveals the mechanism to cause the ductile behavior observed in bend tests of FRCC specimens.
