The teaching appraisal of colleges is a system engineering with multi-objective management. Because of the multi-purpose requirement for the national education of college students, the system is characterized by continuity and multiplicity. How to search the key factors and main contraditions affecting the teaching system? How to improve the teaching system efficiently? These are problems which need to be solved urgently in current higher education. This article will put forward several useful models for synthetic appraisal of teaching system. Although the discussion is ex-tended around the teaching system, the models and processing methods involved can be widely used in various large synthetic appraisal system.
