Bayesian Estimation of Reliability Parameters in the Weibull Distribution

In this paper an engineering approach to Bayes reliability analysis of Weibull distribution is proposed. Based on a prior information on the reliability or on the reliable life, the posterior distributions of reliability parameters, such as reliability, reliable life, are derived. Therefore, reliability parameters are estimated by chossing proper loss functions. An example illustrates the proposed estimation procedure.
