AIRBORNE REMOTE SENSING AT NASA DRYDEN AND AMES RESEARCH CENTER

This talk will present an overview of capabilities and current airborne remote sensing activities at thernNASA Ames Research Center and Dryden Flight Research Center. These two NASA field centersrncooperate to provide a suite of sensors and aircraft to support earth science research in the NASArncommunity. Included will be a summary of operational systems, including the MODIS andrnMODIS/ASTER airborne simulators, and their supporting calibration and engineering facilities; as wellrnthe Dryden aircraft platforms presently in use by the NASA airborne science program. Mention willrnalso be made of a cooperative effort with the U.S. Dept. of Energy Remote Sensing Laboratory.
