APPLICATIONS OF THE AIRBORNE SCANNING LASER RANGING-IMAGING SENSOR(ASLRIS) IN CITY PLANNING

The configuration, fundamental and specifications of an airborne 3D imagerrncalled the Airborne Scanning Laser Ranging-Imaging Sensor (ASIRIS) are introduced.rnSome solutions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the ASIRIS for its mappingrna city are specially analyzed. After some flight missions for city planning, the ASLRISrnsystem provided lots of data of 'digital city' and produced a series of images of therncities in China. Some typical images and 3D city models with a scale of 1:10000 arerngiven in the paper.
