A new hydraulic conductivity test method was developed and applied forrnthe clay liners in the solid waste landfill site, and has attained high accuracy andrnproductivity. Innovation exists in the single-unit apparatus of united sampler andrnspecimen mould. Sampling can be easily conducted on the level surface as well as onrnthe slope by driving the sampler into the ground with a hammer. The test also can berndone easily in the simplified manner in the field laboratory with a high constantrnwater-head in a short time without transporting samples into the precision machinernlaboratory. This single-unit apparatus is used for permeability test in the field laboratoryrnas well as for sampling in-situ. Hence authors named this system as a handyrnpermeability test with a single-unit apparatus. High accuracy was obtained by waterrnsealing mechanism in the single-unit apparatus. High productivity had been attained asrnthat the hydraulic conductivity of 109 samples were evaluated in half a year and bernconducted in every 270 m~2 in the MSW landfill site.
