The amount of re-generative energy is one of the key values for electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). Efficiency of the regenerative braking energy is usually evaluated by scheduled driving tests conducted on a single roller chassis dynamometer, which can not simulate vehicle-braking situation dynamometrically We proposed EV chassis dynamometer that can simulate braking situation dynamometricallyrnTo make a guideline for regenerative brake evaluation test using chassis dynamometer, regenerative energy/mechanical braking energy ratio in actual driving situation is investigated through simulated driving test on EV chassis dynamometer. Similar test is conducted on EV chassis dynamometer both in 4WD mode and 2WD mode, to clarify the simulation accuracy of regenerative energy conducted on single roller chassis dynamometer.
