In this study, we achieved efficient and high-precision grinding of SSiC and Si_3N_4 ceramic spherical lens molds with cup wheels by the ELID process (ELID CG-grinding), and investigated the ground surface characteristics in detail. Mirror surface finish was obtained using a #4000 wheel for grinding ceramic spherical lens molds.
