Space-time block coding (STBC) and a number of derivativerntechniques have been developed to maximise the diversityrngain of a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel.rnFor frequency selective fading -i.e. dispersive -MIMOrnchannels, solutions in the literature are fewer, and are inrntheir majority block based, such as MIMO OFDM or timereversalrnSTBC. In order to ultimately achieve better trackingrnbehaviour, in this paper we focus on the development of arnnon-block-based method. We utilise a constant modulus criterionrnon the detected signals together with the orthogonalityrncontraint of the transmitted STBC signals, whereby for thernlater we derive novel criterion and an adaptive optimisationrnscheme. We demonstrate the proposed system in simulationsrnand compare it to the performance of a TRSTBC system.
