The eu telematics application programme 'modem' research project; a european microelectronics telematics based educational initiative

摘要

The objective of this paper is to present an overview of the current status of the European Union Telematics Application Programme educational initiative in microelectronics; the Multimedia Optimisation and Demonstration for Education in Microelectronics (MODEM) project. The first phase of the project which commenced in January 1996 is scheduled to be completed in April 1998. Key project achievements to-date are detailed. Formative and summative evaluation activities are discussed.
