Suspended Microstrip Patch Antenna WithGround-shield Tapered Suspended Stripline Feed

摘要

In this paper, we present a single suspendedmicrostrip patch antenna with a suspended stripline feedoperating at 18GHz. It consists of a single-layer, suspendedantenna element, a low-loss suspended stripline feed and anovel ground-shield-impedance transformer. An efficientway to fabricate the proposed structure is demonstrated. Animproved version of the antenna is fabricated and the -10dBbandwidth for the suspended antenna is 4%, the 3dBbeamwidth is approximately 55 and a highest value ofmeasured gain is around 9.5dB.
