Accurate Adaptation and Verification of Constitutive Model for Hot Rod Rolling

摘要

A constitutive model for numerical computation of rolling force and torque for hot rod rolling has been constructed based on the adaptation of a constitutive model which were used for hot flat rolling. The developed model is further provided with equations for friction, redundant strain, roll flattening as well as strain rate calculations during each pass instead of assessing these values. The friction equation considers both the rolling temperature and rolls speed. On the other hand, the strain rate equation considers the amount of reduction as well as the rolling speed.
