Application of waterproofing methods in tunneling through an alluvial deposit

This paper deals with a case study on the ground reinforcement and excavation technique for tunneling in the alluvial deposit adjacent to Chunggye stream, a tributary of the Han River in Korea. A successful tunneling with respect to safety, economy and practical applicability has been achieved through three steps.
