Side Grip Piling, a new method for impact driving of micropiles

Side Grip or SG Piling has been developed based on experiences from sheet piling. Side grip installation of the sheet piles was introduced in early 1990's by the Finnish company Unisto Ltd. Later on, the excavator-based work process has become the most common installation method in Finland and it has been introduced worldwide. The new piling method is applicable for impact driven micropiles or steel piles, diameter less than 200 mm.
