Welding of Thin Sheet Aluminium for Roofs

The roofs of modern houses are covered with aluminum plates. These plates are coated. The individual elements of the roof plates are typically folded manually and joined together. Welding with CO_2-laser is an interesting alternative. By this way, the operating time could be reduced to a sixth. The considerably more expensive laser hour of manual work could be compensated very easily by this way. Moreover the welded joint is absolute water resistant, what is not the case for the manually folded piece of roof.
