European Drawer Rack (EDR) Modal Survey Test(MST) was performed in two steps. With the first testconfiguration, including foam and dummy inside of thelockers, for some modes a high non linearity resultedevident. In addition the repeatability of the empiricalmeasurements was not guaranteed. In the second step ofthe test, the foam and the dummy masses were removedfrom the lockers, to acquire additional data for theupdating of the rack global characteristics. Due to thewide range of frequencies measured for the lockersmodes, during the correlation activity, two differentmodels were generated. The first one characterized bythe lockers modes at the minimum frequenciesmeasured and the second one with the same modes atthe higher frequencies. To define which model resultedmore adequate to the purposes of the next analyticalactivities, EDR models were introduced inCOLUMBUS model and a Space Shuttle System (STS)/COLUMBUS Coupled Loads Analysis was performed,finalized to the comparison of Columbus/ EDR interfaceforces.
