In the set up laboratory observations were made of algae growth on silicon tubes, focusing especially on areas without aturbulent water flow. This coverage can lead to reduced light input and lower reactor capacity. When algae growth isanalyzed the spectra of artificial light needs to be as close as possible to the natural one. Therefore, several bulbs,fluorescent tubes and the absorption of flasks have been measured. Large-scale systems require large amounts of CO_2. Tobe economic different possible exhaust sources have been determined and their cosubstances have been compared.
