摘要

The objective of the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection(BMELV) and, subsequently, of the Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe (Agency for Renewable Resources,FNR) as the ministry’s project management organisation is to support the technological development and market introductionof improved measures to reduce finest particle emissions from small-scale combustion plants fired withsolid biofuels. For this purpose, the BMELV opened a joint call for R&D projects on this topic in 2007. In the frameof this call, 14 projects were funded on the development of different measures to reduce fine particle emissions fromsmall-scale combustion biomass plants (SSC). These projects are now finalised. The results show that combinedmeasures with primary and secondary options to reduce particle emissions from SSC achieve the best results and arepromising options for a successful market introduction.
